Curb Appeal Ideas for Your Home; Great Sellers Tips to Get your Home Noticed

Below is a list of ideas to help your home generate the curb appeal you want! Sellers may want to review and use these tips to help their home sell faster and get more views.

Bring Curb Appeal to Your Home!

1 Welcome your guests with beautiful flowers and flower boxes. Flower pots in lining the front porch are a great way to add a feeling of character and color to your home. Choose colors that accommodate the season you want to represent; Pinks and vibrant colors in the spring and oranges and browns in the fall. Make these flower pots a part of your seasonal décor.

2 Repainting your front door for summer is also a good idea if it needs to be done. Harsh winters and heavy rains may cause the paint to chip, peel and crack. When choosing a color for your front door, pick a paint color that will really pop. If you need ideas for colors, walk or bike around town and see what other homeowners are doing.

3 Have you taken a look at your mailbox lately? Some of the communities we live in may not allow changes to your mailbox, but if you live in a community where your mailbox is yours solely you may want to spruce up a little. New paint or just replacing the entire mailbox can really add extra curb appeal. You can find mailboxes at your local hardware stores. Replacing is easy and could make the difference on how your home looks from the outside.

4 You may consider replacing your old, rusted light fixtures. They may be cracked, rusted or dated. The cost of replacing light fixtures isn't cheap but your porch will take on a whole new look with an updated fixture. If your light fixtures are in no need of being replaced, try washing them off just as you would he light fixtures in your home.

5 Replace your welcome mat with something new and clean. You don't want to welcome your guests with your old worn mat from the winter! You will find welcome mats at hardware stores and home stores. Choose mats that welcome your guests in a way your interior feels.

6 Lastly, scrub and clean your porch. Take time to wash the porch walls, floors and furniture. Sometimes we neglect our porches because just as soon as we clean them it rains or storms. The porch is just as important as the rest of your living space so treat it that way. The porch is an extr\ension of your interior and is a great place to share your decorating style.
