Unless you've been hiding under a rock you've no doubt heard or read about the buzz known as social media. What exactly is it? To paraphrase Wikipedia it's media for social interaction using accessible publishing techniques. Social media can take many forms for example: blogs (like this one), microblogging (like Twitter), or video (like YouTube).
In today's information age where instant access to content and knowledge is now the norm, real estate agents know that buyers without question start their real estate search online. That said many real estate agents create their own user-generated content using the publishing techniques referenced above to build an online presence ideally for lead generation.
As social media continues to grow it's also become appealing to businesses as a method to reach new/existing customers and also to build or maintain reputation. John Reinwald and Chris Young (Social Media & Related Technology Managers / firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com) of the Northwest Division are doing just that with their site RETechFocus. The site's tagline reads "Making Real Estate Technology Simple" and delivers on its promise for the tech savvy social media-minded real estate professional.
